Rainb0ws is a project by five year old Theo. He likes to draw rainbows because they’re colorful and he draws one (almost) every day. Like Beeple, but younger. And more rainbow-y.

We’ve created rainbows as project to share with everyone. When you buy a rainbow you’re buying a little piece of art to brighten up your day, and something that makes a nice Twitter background image. PFPs are so last year!

You get a hand drawn artwork to right click save and use as you’d like, and we’ve made the process of the drawing of the rainbows into a video that’s part of the NFT too.

How long will the project last?

We don’t know. it depends on how long Theo wants to carry on drawing rainbows for. He wants to save up enough money to buy his own iPad, so he doesn’t have to keep using mine to draw on. Really I think he wants his own so he can watch Peter Rabbit and Captain Underpants on it, but it’s good to give him a goal

What’s the rarity?

I have no idea what Theo’s going to draw day to day, other than it’s going to be colorful, so out of interest I’ve run the pieces through Imagemagick to analyse the top ten colors in each piece and output those. This generates some kind of rarity, but these will change as the project continues.
Some pieces have special features too where Theo’s decided to add things in to them, and this will be included in the metadata too.

What’s the technical deal with the project?

Artworks are minted using a Manifold contract which gives us the freedom to do interesting things in future, and all artworks are stored on Arweave, meaning sometimes the videos might load a little slowly, but will be there forever.

The main token is an ‘animation URL’ which is the final image from the day and when clicked plays a video of all the pieces created until the one you hold. The video loops, but you can right click on it and show controls in a desktop browser

What’s that in the metadata?

We’ve pre-formatted the image to perfectly fit a Twitter or Discord banner. Have a look in the metadata to see links to URLs where these images are stored. Also on Arweave so they’ll last forever.
